Leslie Rose McDonald, from Pathfinders CTS, Inc., was the final speaker in the “Talking Business: A Conversation With…” series.
McDonald talked about finding, latching hold of, and remaining true to the vision for your business. She acknowledged that the vision did need to be backed up with market research and funding. (The vision does need to have some grounding in reality.) She stated that if everything pointed toward having a business that fulfilled a need, then go for it!
McDonald talked about her own vision and how it has been tested through the years, and what she has done to remain true to the initial vision as well as capitalize on new opportunities. She noted that obstacles like becoming burned out can hamper a vision, and talked about strategies to overcome those things that are thrown in our path.
